- Other Details : A high-priority, full-time opportunity is available for experienced Acute Care Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants in General Surgery at a Pennsylvania facility starting May 1, 2025, due to turnover. Candidates must have at least 2 years of experience. BLS and CPR certifications are required; DEA is also mandatory, though a CSR is not needed. Providers should be available a minimum of 2 weeks per month and will work Monday through Friday, 7 : 00 AM to 3 : 00 PM, covering approximately 20 shifts per month. Responsibilities include floor management (daily rounds, patient orders, progress notes, discharges), ER consults / admissions (evaluations, operative planning, documentation), and serving as a first assistant in general surgery cases (open, laparoscopic, robotic), with full pre- and post-operative care. Call is required with a 30-minute beeper response time, though average admissions while on call are zero. Candidates will not work solo.
