• Establish standards and procedures for staff and plans work schedules to ensure adequate service and coverage.
• Review staffing to ensure proper coverage while keeping work hours within budget.
• Perform all employment actions and decisions for Housekeeping Department : screens, interviews, hires, trains, evaluates, counsels, disciplines and terminates departmental personnel.
• Follow all workplace injury procedures, including completion of reports for timely reporting and issuing corrective action when necessary.
• Inspect and evaluate physical condition of all areas of the building coordinating with the Maintenance Department.
• Inspect all work in progress and / or completed by staff or outside contractors and maintains cleanliness checklists.
• Initiate a training program for all staff and conducts monthly in-services for staff.
• Keep informed and updated on new and improved cleaning methods, products, supplies and equipment.
• Maintain strict inventory, ordering supplies as needed while staying within budget.
• Inspect vacated apartments and completes the cleaning within the prescribed time frame for seamless turnover.
• Maintain all files and records consistent with the adequate functioning of the departments.
• Provide reports as required and deemed necessary by the Executive Director.
• Perform cleaning duties in cases of emergency of staff shortage.
• Performs regular inspections of resident areas and rooms for sanitation, safety and proper performance of assigned duties.
• Shampoos rugs in both Resident and common areas.
• Ensure proper safety and security regarding Resident belongings and items used in carrying out housekeeping and laundry functions.
• Attend quarterly Q & A meetings and make recommendations to improve operations, safety and / or cost.
• Adhere to and uphold company policies and procedures.
• Performs other duties as assigned by Executive Director.
