Position Summary
As a CT Imaging Technician, you will provide high-quality imaging procedures in a safe and respectful environment, ensuring the utmost care for our patients and accurate results for our physicians.
Position Requirements
Education :
Graduation from an accredited School of Radiologic Technology.Certification from The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists is necessary.CT registration or eligibility to achieve it within 6 months of hire.Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days of hire.Experience :
Preferred one year of CT experience in a hospital setting, but we are open to training new candidates.Skills :
Knowledge of CT scanning with experience on GE CT equipment is preferred; training will be provided.Physical Requirements :
Ability to assist patients, operate equipment, and perform various tasks, including lifting up to 20 pounds. Strong communication skills and the ability to make critical decisions in urgent situations are essential.
Performance Standards
Verify patient identity and physician orders accurately before proceeding.Inquire about pregnancy for female patients aged 12-50 and document findings appropriately.Document allergies and medical history for patients receiving intravenous contrast media.Adhere to radiation safety practices, following ALARA principles.Collaborate with team members to enhance patient care and service quality.Maintain patient dignity and comfort throughout exams and during transport.Regularly check on patients awaiting procedures to ensure their comfort.Demonstrate leadership and teamwork during challenging situations.Availability for overtime and supplemental shifts as needed.Follow all safety procedures during patient transfers to ensure their safety.Consistently perform high-quality imaging studies.Work collaboratively with colleagues to maximize efficiency and meet physician and patient requests.
