$79123.00 - $126589.00

The Supervisor Coding provides leadership that is ethical progressive and collaborative. The Supervisor ensures an effective coding audit and monitoring program is developed implemented and improved as needed. Facilitate the structure process oversight and accountability of organizational coding and health data collection activities. Ensure accurate documentation and coding (DRG ICD-10 and CPT) as it relates to appropriate compliant and optimal reporting and reimbursement of health care services. Serve as a resource and liaison in the organization for all coding related topics issues and questions.

Qualifications :

• Associates degree required. Equivalent combination of education and related experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
• Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) or Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) credential is preferred. Coding certification (CCS RHIA or RHIT) is required.
• Three years coding experience in a highly computerized hospital setting is required. Minimum of one year supervisory experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements required. Knowledge of IS systems and Health Information Systems required. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Effective interpersonal skills. Knowledge of DRG ICD-10 CPT and APC coding guidelines required. Ability to evaluate operations policies and protocols against regulatory requirements and guidelines required.
