State And Local Tax Generalist Manager

Your work will involve analysing and interpreting local tax laws and regulations, assisting businesses in complying with local tax requirements and optimising their local tax positions. The Opportunity As part of the State and Local Tax Generalist team you are set to lead the way as technology-enabled tax advisors who provide benefits through digitization, automation, and increased efficiencies. As a Manager you supervise, develop, and coach teams, manage client service accounts, and drive assigned client engagement workstreams by independently solving and analyzing complex problems to develop top-quality deliverables. You play a visible role in cultivating meaningful client relationships, inspiring your team, and navigating ambiguity, while upholding PwC's quality standards and contributing to the firm's purpose, principles, and broader business strategies.

What You Must Have

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting

4 years of experience

CPA, Member of the Bar or other tax, technology, or finance-specific credentials may qualify for this opportunity

Juris Doctorate in Taxation preferred

Thorough knowledge of state and local tax issues

Proficiency in tax consulting and planning

Proficiency in transaction structuring and due diligence

Client relationship management skills

Proven leadership in supervising and coaching teams

The salary range for this position is: $99,000 - $266,000, plus individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. For roles that are based in Maryland, this is the listed salary range for this position. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications and location, and applicable employment laws.
