Pharmacist | Clovis, California

This direct hire opportunity is for a Medication Safety / Compliance Pharmacist position located in Clovis, CA, supporting a leading pediatric hospital outside Fresno. The role reports directly to the Director of Pharmacy and collaborates closely with pharmacy leadership to ensure medication safety and regulatory compliance across the organization.

Key responsibilities include continuously evaluating pharmacy practices to promote optimal, evidence-based medication management, leading change initiatives, updating policies and procedures, providing education on patient safety and regulatory topics, and serving as a patient advocate. The pharmacist will also interact with various hospital departments and medical staff to implement positive safety improvements. Experience with Medication Error Reporting Programs (MERP) and EPIC EMR is highly desirable.

Qualifications and Desired Experience :

• Doctor of Pharmacy Degree (required)
• Completion of an accredited residency program (preferred)
• Registered Pharmacist license with the California State Board of Pharmacy (required)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association, to be completed within 30 days of hire (required)
• Additional certifications such as Board of Pharmacy Specialties or ASHP / ISMP Medication Safety Certificate (preferred)
• Minimum 5 years hospital or related pharmacy experience (required)
• At least 2 years management experience (preferred)
• Strong knowledge of regulatory laws including local, state, federal, and The Joint Commission requirements
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Schedule :
• Day shift
• 40 hours per week
• Five 8-hour shifts
