ESI is looking for a talented, driven and experienced individual to assist in the development of financial plans and forecasts, the analysis of operational results, and support adherence to appropriate accounting standards. This individual will work under the guidance of the company Director of Finance.
The Financial Analyst is a key member of the organization, providing analytical support for leadership of key functional areas within ESI. This position will serve as a trusted financial advisor and support management with analysis and reporting to help support and accelerate rapid growth.
Responsibilities :
- Responsible for ongoing review and reporting of sales and margins of the programs
- Provide support to the management team in helping build forecasts and annual budgets
- Support preparation and financial obligations of the strategic 5-year plan
- Support all weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reporting requirements
- Support headcount forecasting and reporting
- Lead all month end GM analytics and costing processes
- Conduct variance analysis based on actuals, spend plans, and trends and partner with leadership team to identify issues and opportunities
- Support to Inventory management by :
- Review inventory valuation from month to month to ensure standard cost accuracy
- Review and correct zero cost items and location with negative quantities
- Prepare excess and obsolete analysis
- Compile Weekly and Monthly Labor Analysis
- Perform periodic cost roll update
- Oversee timely work order completion
- Assist with proposals, oversee Hardware pricing and costing
- Prepare and analyze weekly / monthly reports for management team
- Prepare monthly cost reports in accordance with contract requirements on specific contracts
- Assist with month end close duties
- Assist with Balance Sheet reconciliation
Requirements and Skills :
The ideal candidate will have at minimum a bachelor’s degree in finance / accounting or other related discipline and recent experience in the finance function.A minimum of 3+ years of financial analyst experience in a manufacturing-based businessDemonstrated ability to collaborate in a team environment and lead teams to resultsDemonstrated ability to be proactive, creative, and innovative and use critical and strategic thinkingProven ability to partner with business leaders at a strategic levelAdvanced computer skills on MS Office and databasesHigh attention to detail and accuracyProven ability to communicate both written and verballyExperience with project accountingExperience in the Aerospace and Defense sector preferredDesired Qualifications :
