[job_card.job_description]Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Engineering, Health Physics, Radiological Sciences, or related field. Completion of NRC License Reviewer Qualification Journal (per NRC Manual Chapter 1246). Demonstrated knowledge of NRC regulations (10 CFR Parts 30, 33, 35, 40). Experience drafting and reviewing RAM licenses. Strong QA review and documentation skills. Ability to communicate technical findings clearly to regulatory staff.
SummitET is seeking a Licensing Support Specialist to support the South Carolina Radiation Control Bureau as a 1099 Independent Contractor.
This part-time consulting role (30–40 hours / month) is remote with periodic coordination with SCRCB staff.
Responsibilities :
- Support SCRCB in completing radiological materials (RAM) licensing actions.
- Review RAM licensee requests / applications and draft RAM licenses with appropriate updates for QA review.
- Conduct Quality Assurance (QA) review of RAM licenses, including providing detailed feedback to SCRCB staff.
