Billings Analyst

The Billings Analyst will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely billing processes to support ViaSun’s expanding operations. This role requires a proactive and analytical individual with construction industry experience, strong ERP system proficiency, and advanced Excel skills. The ideal candidate will be skilled in identifying and resolving billing discrepancies, ensuring compliance with contract terms, and providing excellent communication to both internal teams and external customers.

Core Responsibilities:

• Billing & Invoicing: Prepare, review, and process billing statements for projects in accordance with contract terms, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing for construction and preservation services.
• Contract Compliance: Verify billing amounts and adjust discrepancies in accordance with contract terms, customer agreements, and project scope.
• ERP System Management: Utilize ERP systems (preferably VistaView or similar) to track billing data, maintain accurate records, and support month-end close processes.
• Reporting & Analysis: Generate and analyze billing reports to identify trends, variances, and potential issues. Work with the Controller to ensure all billing data is accurate and current.
• Dispute Resolution: Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external customers regarding billing discrepancies or inquiries. Investigate and resolve issues efficiently and effectively.
• Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, operations, and accounting teams to ensure smooth billing cycles and accurate reporting.
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements in the billing cycle, including automation, efficiency improvements, and error reduction.

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of experience in billing or accounts receivable roles within the construction or related industry.
• ERP Expertise: Proficiency in ERP systems (VistaView, NetSuite, SAP, or Microsoft Dynamics preferred).
• Advanced Excel Skills: Strong ability to manipulate and analyze data using advanced Excel functions, such as pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and macros.
• Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal teams and resolve customer issues.
• Problem-Solving: Strong ability to identify issues and take proactive steps to resolve billing discrepancies and improve processes.
• Organizational Skills: Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred but not required.
