Salary : $25.00 Hourly
This role plans, creates, and oversees in person activities for Oregon Provider. The coordinator promotes events on our website, Facebook, and other social media, and keeps the website events page current. They attend events to take photos and share highlights across platforms. They build and maintain community partnerships to strengthen Oregon Providers presence and support our mission. This position requires creativity, strong organization, and confident leadership, with experience supporting individuals with IDD or DD. The coordinator regularly brings new ideas to the Agency Director to expand community engagement and improve our activities program.
Required Skills
Strong working knowledge of Facebook and other social media platforms
Excellent writing and communication skills including one on one and public speaking
Highly organized with strong time management skills
Proven leadership and ability to work independently and as part of a team
Able to plan and host multiple events at once both small and large scale
Comfortable handling stressful situations with confidence
Trustworthy, reliable, and consistent follow through
Proficient with Google Docs
Able to update websites
Able to cook for large groups including a weekly community dinner for about 100 people
Demonstrate reliability, initiative, and accountability in all aspects of the role
Maintain access to a smartphone or tablet for documentation and communication
Be computer literate and able to complete required documentation and online training
Exhibit compassion, patience, and professionalism when supporting clients and families
Apply strong problem-solving skills and practical life abilities in everyday situations
Confidently deliver hands-on support, training, and guidance to clients with diverse needs
Qualifications
Experience in DD or IDD support work
Local to Sandy, Oregon
Able to support planning for client and employee events including the Family Christmas Party, Summer Family Picnic at Oaks Park, and group trips such as the coast or the zoo
Successfully pass criminal, driving, drug, and Orchards, the state background check each year
Complete a minimum of 24 hours of approved training annually
Hold valid in-person CPR and First Aid and Food Handlers certifications prior to hire
Provide a dependable vehicle with valid insurance that meets 100 / 300 / 100 liability coverage requirements, with the Agency listed as an interested party for any changes to coverage during employment
