SUMMARY

The Diesel Mechanic Youth Co-op position is designed to give students hands-on experience with inspecting, repairing, and maintaining powered mobile equipment. The co-op will assist experienced mechanics in repairing equipment, diagnosing faults, using testing tools, and performing routine maintenance. This is an excellent opportunity to apply classroom knowledge

to real-world tasks in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

• Assists in the instillation, repair, and preventative maintenance for various equipment and vehicles
• Apply techniques learned in school to scheduled maintenance and repair tasks.
• Help repair equipment and replace defective parts under supervision.
• Use testing equipment to diagnose mechanical issues and malfunctions.t
• Perform cleaning, lubrication, and other necessary maintenance work.
• Complete additional tasks as assigned by senior mechanics.
