Lead Usher Showroom - ElDorado (Reno, NV)

JOB SUMMARY

Escort guests to their seats ensuring all guests have a pleasant and positive experience attending a show at the Eldorado. To ensure that all guest’s questions are answered and to maintain a clean and respectable atmosphere for everyone involved.

HOW YOU WILL CREATE THE EXTRAORDINARY

• Seat guests and make sure all problems are handled in a quick and professional manner
• Service the champagne seating area
• Ensure the safety of all guests
• Make sure the showroom is presentable
• Direct guests to various locations
• Deal with challenging situations
• Preset and tear down champagne seating area
• Ensure supplies for champagne seating are plentiful
• Set up and tear down the lobby area, put all glasses back on the bar, throw away all garbage and bottles in lobby and sell and restock retail
• Usher non-show events sponsored by other departments or organizations
• Exemplify our core values, family style service, our mission and vision

• Perform other job-related duties as assigned

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

• Must have the ability to provide our guests with excellent customer service, observation skills, and have an easygoing demeanor to ensure a fun and safe environment for our guests
• Ability to deal with customers daily
• Ability to stand and remain alert for entire shift
• Ability to go up and down stairs
• Ability to react quickly in an emergency situation

• Ability to deal with all types of guests with all types of problems in a friendly and professional manner

• Must possess good communication skills—English a must, other languages a bonus

• High School diploma or equivalent

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

• Loading shows may be hectic at times
• Non-smoking showroom

• Work may be performed in an area, which may be unusually noisy and crowded

• Mobility to include bending, reaching, prolonged standing and walking, accessing and lifting items from floor level to six feet high
• Normal sense of smell, touch, sound and vision range
• Eye/hand coordination and manual dexterity
• Work area is subject to variable temperatures

PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must have the ability to provide internal/ external guests with service excellence, have excellent communication skills and observation skills, and have an easygoing demeanor to ensure a fun and safe environment for our guests. Above average speech – both speaking and reading/writing English. Need excellent interpersonal skills. Work requires schedule flexibility which may include days off, nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
