Project Engineer - Athens, GA

Job Description

Project Engineers will assist the project team in all stages of the project including preconstruction planning, buyout, daily project management, and closeout. This role will assist in obtaining, coordinating, and distributing the information and authorizations required to construct the project on time, within budget and to quality standards.

Travel : Project Engineers are based on the project site and in temporary construction trailers / offices close to the site.

Reports to : Project Manager and / or Superintendent

Duties / Responsibilities : The duties listed below are an outline of the Project Engineer's responsibilities and should not be considered an all-inclusive list. As the needs of the organization change, these duties may be modified as needed.

• Understand and have a working knowledge of contract documents including all drawings and specifications and clearly communicate required information to relevant teams and trades.
• Request and review subcontractor certificates for compliance.
• Maintain and update all document controls for the project including, but not limited to :

Contract documents, specifications, geotechnical reports, permits, clarifications, field sketches, inspections, daily field reports, sign-in sheets, meeting minutes, submittal logs, RFI logs, change order logs and safety meeting reports.

Processing change requests and change proposals for price review
