Teacher's Aide

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Child Specific Aide to provide one-on-one support to a student throughout the school day. In this role, you will help the student achieve academic, behavioral, and social goals outlined in their IEP, BIP, and safety plans, while fostering independence and positive interactions in the classroom.

This position is ideal for someone who is patient, attentive, and committed to supporting the individual needs of a student in a structured, nurturing environment.

• Shadow and provide one-on-one support to a specific student throughout the day, following IEP, BIP, and safety plans.

• Ensure the student’s academic, behavioral, and social needs are met.

• Facilitate engagement in instructional activities and monitor progress toward learning goals.

• Assist in developing skills that promote independence.

• Support positive interactions between the student and peers.

• Escort and assist the student as needed during transitions and activities.

• Maintain accurate documentation of student behavior and progress.

• Communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and school personnel regarding student performance.

• Uphold professional expectations including attendance, teamwork, and professional development.

• Stay current with educational best practices and trends through ongoing professional learning.

• Perform related duties as assigned and ensure compliance with school policies and procedures.

• Associate’s Degree or minimum of 3 years’ experience working with children in an educational setting.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral.

• Proficiency with basic computer and technology tools.

• Ability to work independently while following prescribed routines and instructions.

• Positive attitude, reliability, and ability to work under pressure.

• Commitment to supporting student growth, safety, and well-being.
