Role : Seasonal Package HandlerPayrate : 19 / hourLocation : Iselin, NJShifts : see belowESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Sort and process all incoming mail and parcels, aligning with designated area requirements and maintaining our high-quality standards.
  • Ensure sorting and processing targets are met or exceeded consistently.
  • Inspect each piece of mail to ensure the labels are affixed correctly and the zip code on the label matches the address zip code.
  • Operating sorting machinery which may include loading cardboard boxes (Gaylords) and / or bins and rapidly placing mail / parcels onto conveyors. Scan labels and maintain workstation.
  • Maintain cleanliness of work area Flexibility to adapt to different operational areas as needed to support the business.
  • Essential duties are not necessarily exhaustive and may be supplemented or otherwise revised by DHL at its sole discretion.

REQUIREMENTS / SKILLS :

  • Listen actively and execute verbal instructions effectively.
  • Ability to sort alphabetically and numerically.
  • Understand standardized math processes, e.g., count, addition, and subtraction.
  • Thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, and maintain a consistent performance over extended periods.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues to achieve common goals.
  • Excel in a role that involves well-outlined procedures and clear instructions.
  • Build strong working relationships by regularly engaging with team members.

    • PHYSICAL DEMANDS :

  • Walk, push, pull and lift up to 50 lbs. (additional weight may be required with assistance)
  • Reach overhead, squat, bend or kneel most of the work shift.
  • Climb stairs and / or step ladder. Transport mail utilizing pallet jack.
  • This is a warehouse environment where frequently this position will be exposed to cold, hot, and changing temperatures; will constantly experience noise at medium level not damaging or loud enough to require protective equipment; will frequently be exposed to dust, dirt, and changes in lighting.
