Weekly Pay : $2,211.38

JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary

Department : Occupational Therapy

Shift Timings : 07 : 00 - 15 : 30 Hours - Monday to Friday (5 days / 8 hours).

Per week : 40 Hours

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Conducting physical and psychological assessments of clients and developing or following a treatment plan.
  • Assessing home and work environments of clients and deciding what adjustments are needed.
  • Advising on adaptive equipment to help clients with daily activities.
  • Developing physical rehabilitation programs to help clients regain lost skills.
  • Preparing clients for a return to work.
  • Educating caregivers and family members of clients on patient care.
  • Evaluating results and progress of occupational therapy on clients.
  • Maintaining professional knowledge and the technical progress in order to provide clients with the best treatment program available.
  • Complying with federal, state, and local certification requirements.
  • Evaluating patient condition regarding physical and basic mental health.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Inpatient Rehab; performing evaluations and treatments for primarily neurological conditions including stroke, brain injury, multi-trauma, post spine surgery;
  • electronic medical record - Cerner / Onechart; typically assigned
  • 4-6 patients per day with expectation of billing 24 units per day.
  • Work schedule Monday - Friday with rotating weekends.

    • QUALIFICATIONS

  • BLS and ACLS
  • National Institutes of Health (NIH)
  • Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
  • The ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Strong technical skills.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Passionate about patient care
  • Requires a minimum of two years of current Occupational Therapist experience.
  • Graduate from a fully accredited Occupational Therapist program
  • Active unencumbered California state license
  • One year of Cerner experience

  • Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills.
  • Participates in relevant continuing education programs.
  • Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients.
  • Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise.
  • A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.
  • Effective interpersonal / communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
