[job_card.job_description]Experience in mechanical trades Post Secondary education in a mechanical trade profession Valid Ontario drivers license Past experience in a diverse industrial environment required Strong communication skills both written and oral Strong mechanical aptitude Exposure to welding and machining equipment an asset Ability to work shifts, weekends and holidays as required Proven abilities to problem solve, trouble shoot and work with deadlines Ownership of tools and safety boots a must Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather conditions Required to meet the physical demands of the job including; weights of up to 23kg, heights of 106m, frequent standing, walking, twisting, reaching, bending, crawling and ability to work with ladders
Overview : $43.50 - $47 / hour
Candidates must have Millwright Licence (433A) or Heavy Equipment Mechanic (421A) Licence.
Rates vary based on certifications and experience. This is a year-round, full-time career opportunity with benefits in the Canada's Wonderland Ride Maintenance Department.
CANDIDATE PROFILE :
The ideal candidate is a team-oriented individual with a solid track record working as a Millwright / mechanic.
SCOPE OF POSITION :
The successful candidates will have proven skills with preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, hydraulics and pneumatics and will have the ability to problem solve and work independently.
Responsibilities :
- Install new equipment
- Rebuild and or repair equipment as specified
- Maintain all required service records and logs
- Make recommendations for improvements, modification, upgrades and reportto Foreman / Supervisor on a timely basis
- Assist with major overhauls, modifications and alterations as required
- Ensure the safe operation of each work area and each work project.
- Assist with general cleaning, inspection and reassemble equipment as needed
- Responsible for assisting with daily preventative maintenance program
