Position Summary:

We are seeking a caring and energetic Early Childhood Assistant to join our team for afternoon shifts. The ideal candidate will support lead educators in providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for young children. This position is perfect for someone passionate about early childhood development and looking to make a positive impact in a part-time role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist educators with implementing age-appropriate activities and routines

• Supervise children to ensure a safe and inclusive environment

• Support children with transitions such as naptime, snack time, and pick-up

• Help with classroom clean-up and organization at the end of the day

• Maintain hygiene and assist with toileting and diapering as needed

• Foster positive relationships with children, families, and staff

• Follow center policies and licensing regulations

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required

• Experience working with young children preferred

• Early Childhood Education (ECE) certification or working towards it is an asset

• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)

• Clear background check and health screening

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Working Conditions:

• Active, hands-on work with young children

• Indoor and outdoor supervision

• Lifting, bending, and floor-level activities required
