Overview

Razorfish is looking for a hands-on, hybrid editor and videographer to be part of a tight-knit team of production professionals working for an energy company. This is role will have you directly immersed with our clients, on-site in their office. You can expect to work alongside a diverse team editing and shooting internal and external digital, social and events.

Responsibilities

1. Video Editing

2. Edit video footage into high-quality content for various social media platforms.

3. Optimize videos for various platforms and devices.

4. Understanding of social first editing, pacing, lighting.

5. Editing for social media with appropriate safety zones and graphics styles.

6. Videography

7. Strong video production & still photography skills using DSLR and studio cameras.

8. Working knowledge of lighting and audio mixing, audio recording with wired and wireless mics.

9. Post-production

10. Manage post-production tasks including color grading, sound editing, and ability to trouble shoot tech specs and delivery issues.

11. Demonstrated proficiency with industry-standard software, specifically the Adobe Creative Suite and DaVinci Resolve.

12. QC and ensure the quality and delivery of final files is without error.

13. Understanding of delivery and upload specifications for all social media channels.

14. Understanding and editing for safety zones and the difference between paid / organic safety areas.

15. Project Management

16. Functionally report to Agency Producer who will assign and manage priority shoots and edits

17. Organize and maintain assets within a pre-existing storage/archive infrastructure.

18. Meet project deadlines and manage multiple tasks while maintaining quality.

19. Deliver highly engaging and error-free video content.

20. Keep up-to-date with the latest video and motion graphics trends and technologies to bring innovative ideas to the team.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of professional experience in video editing and videography.

• Proficient in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro) and Davinci Resolve color correction software.

• Strong understanding of storytelling, pacing, and timing.

• Familiarity with color grading and sound editing.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Ability to handle multiple projects with tight deadlines.

• Creative problem-solving skills.

• Attention to detail and strong time management skills.

• Expertise in social media and pop culture.

• Passion for social media.

• Possible overtime or weekend work may be required.

• Willingness to appear in content (hand, face, voice) as needed.

• A portfolio showcasing your best work in both video editing and videography.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with motion graphics software (eg., Adobe After Effects) is a plus.

• Previous experience in social content creation and advertising.

Compensation Range: $70,000 - $79,000/yr. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
