What You'll Do

Are you an experienced electronic discovery professional who is interested in branching out into Risk Management and Information Governance? As a Senior Information Governance Specialist II , you'll play a critical role within the Information Governance (IG) team, conducting internal data collections for high visibility matters to protect the Firm's data, reputation, and strategic objectives.

Reporting through the Information Governance Manager for Internal Collections, this role is a key contributor to the execution and delivery of information governance and electronic discovery (eDiscovery) services. You'll collaborate daily with attorneys, paralegals, business professionals, Information Technology (IT), and senior stakeholders-providing trusted guidance, conducting complex data collections, and delivering a consistently high standard of "white glove" service across the Firm.

By ensuring internal data is collected, stored, and protected effectively, you'll help maintain strong information integrity, support compliance, and reduce risk across the organization.

  • Information Collection & eDiscovery Execution -Conduct collections from internal Firm data sources in response to subpoenas, Requests for Production (RFPs), and other Firm-directed requests, ensuring accuracy, defensibility, and timeliness throughout the electronic discovery lifecycle.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration & Advisory Support - Partner with attorneys, paralegals, legal staff, and administrative teams to define custodians, data sources, scope, and collection strategies, while translating complex eDiscovery concepts into clear, plain-language guidance.
  • Technology & Tool Expertise - Search, collect, process, and export data using tools such as Relativity, email archive platforms, Microsoft (MS) Exchange, MS Purview, and iManage Document Management System (DMS), adapting quickly to new technologies as they are introduced.
  • Relativity Workspace Management - Prepare data for review, manage processing and post-processing activities, resolve errors, and handle indexing, batching, searching, exports, and productions within Relativity.
  • Risk Identification & Escalation - Proactively identify information governance risks, manage conflicts between data sources and requesters, and escalate issues as appropriate to protect the Firm and support compliance.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership -participate in cross-functional teams, working closely with IT, Litigation & Practice Technology, Risk Management leadership, and external vendors to support collections, reviews, productions, and system enhancements.
  • Process Improvement & Documentation - Assist in developing, updating, and maintaining procedures, best practices, and workflows to continuously improve Internal Collections operations.
  • Training & Support - Provide training and ongoing user support to attorneys, paralegals, and business professionals on litigation technology tools and information governance processes.
  • Operational Responsiveness - Manage multiple priorities, meet tight deadlines, and support business needs, including occasional work outside standard business hours when required.

What You'll Bring

  • Education - An accredited undergraduate degree or equivalent experience.
  • eDiscovery Experience - A minimum of 10 years of hands-on electronic discovery experience, including prior law firm or in-house legal experience.
  • Relativity Expertise - Advanced experience creating, administering, and using Relativity workspaces, including data processing, complex searching, review setup and production (Relativity Certified Administrator strongly preferred).
  • Technical Aptitude - Strong comfort with information technologies and tools, including MS Office applications (Outlook, Excel), advanced text editors (Notepad++, UltraEdit) remote collaboration platforms (Zoom, MS Teams), and-preferably-email archives, iManage DMS, MS Purview, SharePoint, structured data tools, and related systems.
  • Analytical & Communication Skills - Ability to analyze data, prioritize complex workloads, and clearly communicate technical and governance concepts to audiences with varying levels of technical knowledge.
  • Professional Presence & Collaboration - A proactive, detail-oriented, and self-motivated approach, paired with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trusted relationships across the Firm.
  • Work Arrangement - Ability to work a hybrid schedule (three days in-office, two days remote).
  • If you're motivated to engage in complex eDiscovery efforts while protecting the Firm and our clients from risk, strengthen information governance practices, and make a meaningful impact within a collaborative, high-performing legal environment, we'd love to hear from you.
