Walter L. Cohen College Prep is searching for a High School Math Teacher for the 2022 - 20123 school year. This individual will be expected to provide an educational atmosphere where scholars of various academic levels can develop a strong understanding and appreciation for the subject matter. He / she will create an environment that encourages learning and will explore various academic concepts.

Responsibilities

  • Design classroom instruction using research-based strategies
  • Frequently analyze results from multiple sources to drive instruction
  • Work with students to remediate gaps
  • Maintain school culture of high behavioral expectations
  • Maintain frequent communication with student families

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's Degree (required).
  • Teacher Certification or certification eligible (preferred).
  • Background and / or content related coursework (required).
  • Experience working in urban schools (preferred)
  • Solutions-Oriented : concentrates on finding ways to solve problems and improve systems
  • Work ethic : possesses a strong willingness to work hard and long hours to get the job done
  • Intelligence : learns quickly, demonstrates ability to quickly and proficiently absorb new information
  • Teamwork : Demonstrated ability to work well in a team

    • Benefits :

    We offer a competitive compensation package, including generous retirement contributions and comprehensive health benefits. The base salary for this position is $43,500.
