The company is seeking a Regional Chief Estimator to lead all estimating efforts across major public works and transportation infrastructure projects. This is a key leadership role with the ability to drive strategy, mentor teams, and influence the company’s success in the region.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of the estimating process for heavy civil construction projects

• Analyze project plans, drawings, and specifications to determine scope and requirements

• Develop accurate cost estimates using HCSS HeavyBid and other tools

• Solicit and review subcontractor bids across multiple trades

• Evaluate alternative construction methods and value engineering options

• Present estimates, schedules, and value engineering recommendations to leadership

• Collaborate with operations and executive teams to ensure seamless project handoff

• Oversee and coordinate the work of estimating team members and support staff

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in heavy civil estimating, with a strong track record in public works or infrastructure

• Deep understanding of construction methods, materials, and market pricing

• Proficiency in estimating software such as HCSS HeavyBid (required); Primavera P6 is a plus

• Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills

• Local Southern California industry knowledge preferred
