Schedule Details : Night shifts of 8 and 12 hours, every third weekend, and holiday rotation.
Sign-On Bonus : $15,000 for 3rd Shift Nurses

Unit Overview : Join our 24-bed Neurosurgical Unit , caring for diverse and complex patients, including :
Post-operative care for craniotomies, AVMs, and tumor resections.Spine surgeries (cervical, thoracic, lumbar).Managing care for stroke patients as part of our Comprehensive Stroke Program .High volume of cervical and spinal surgeries, plus medical overflow cases.As part of the Aurora Neuroscience Innovation Institute (ANII) , you will experience the latest in neurosurgical techniques.

Use the nursing process to assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans.Recognize significant changes in patients' conditions and respond appropriately.Implement strategies for patient safety and assess readiness for learning.Coordinate discharge planning with an interdisciplinary approach.Evaluate patient, team, and unit outcomes, taking action when necessary.Demonstrate effective communication and collaboration within the care team.Promote a culture of safety by identifying and addressing potential risks.Participate in quality initiatives to improve patient care processes.Engage in professional development activities to enhance personal growth.Licensure Required :
Active Registered Nurse license.Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.Education Required : Completion of an accredited nursing program.
Experience Required : Typically 1 year of clinical nursing experience.
Skills Required : Strong clinical judgment, excellent communication, proficient computer skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Physical Requirements :
