EHS Manager Fremont MI

Salary Range : $78000 - $123000 depending on experience

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Fremont that are seeking skilled EHS Managers. Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with all federal state and local EHS regulations and company policies.
  • Develop implement and maintain comprehensive EHS programs policies and procedures.
  • Identify assess and mitigate environmental health and safety risks and hazards across the manufacturing site.
  • Lead incident investigations root cause analysis and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
  • Develop and deliver EHS training programs to all employees contractors and visitors.
  • Conduct regular EHS audits inspections and assessments to drive continuous improvement.
  • Manage hazardous waste streams and ensure proper handling storage and disposal of all regulated materials.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety Environmental Engineering or a related scientific / technical field.
  • 5-7 years of progressive EHS management experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated expertise in interpreting and applying federal state and local EHS regulations (e.g. OSHA EPA).
  • Proven experience developing implementing and managing EHS programs and management systems (e.g. ISO 14001 ISO 45001).
  • Strong leadership communication and training skills with the ability to influence safety culture.
  • Relevant professional certifications such as CSP (Certified Safety Professional) or CHMM (Certified Hazardous Materials Manager).

    • Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience integrating EHS into Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Proficiency with EHS management software platforms (e.g. Intelex Cority Enablon) and data analytics for trend identification.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and managing robust Workers' Compensation programs and return-to-work strategies.
  • Experience with ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems and / or ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems.
