[job_card.job_description]2 years of nursing experience required; first-time travelers accepted Patient population : Adults to Geriatrics Patient ratio : 1 : 6 on a 34-bed unit with average daily census of 27 Required certifications : BLS and NIH (ACLS preferred) Every other weekend schedule required Floating within facility required No call requirements Maximum 7 days requested time off allowed Holiday work requirements based on assignment period (work 1-2 holidays if they fall during assignment) Navy blue scrubs required Use Epic and Pyxis systems with SBAR communication 12-hour orientation with non-billable hours determined by contract length Care for patients with diagnoses including appendicitis, cholecystitis, small bowel obstruction, pneumonia, COPD exacerbation, sepsis, hypertension, and blood sugar disorders Manage post-operative patients from prostatectomy, appendectomy, cholecystectomy, ostomy procedures, and bowel resections Work with equipment including NGT, chest tubes, feeding tubes, and wound vacs Full compliance required to start on time with bi-weekly orientation schedule Clinical screening required for candidate approval Referral bonus
