Summary:
Assesses patients' nutritional status; develops and implements nutrition care plan; provides consultation and recommendations on nutritional care for hospitalized and clinic patients; works with interdisciplinary healthcare team to promote patient care; provides nutrition instruction to patients, staff and community; participates in interdisciplinary activities, nutrition-related, staff and/or department projects; attends rounds and assists in quality assurance program initiatives; maintains credentialing.

Starting hourly rate is $32.10 which includes a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications:
Required Education and Experience

Certification Requirement
1. Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration, the credentialing agency for the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
2. Certified in the State of New York as a Dietitian/Nutritionist.

Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Nutrition/Dietetics or a related field.

NOTE:
Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited school, college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.

Preferred Qualifications

The preferred candidate will hold a Master's degree in Dietetics, along with certification as a Certified Specialist in Oncology (CSO) and/or Certified Nutrition Support Clinician (CNSC). The preferred candidate should possess will clinical experience in an acute care hospital setting, demonstrate expertise in nutrition counseling, and have a strong background in oncology. Proficiency in tube feeding and TPN/parenteral nutrition support is essential.
