Building Maintenance Worker II
Salary Range : $30.00 - $33.65 Hourly
Overview
Under the direct supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor, the Building Maintenance Worker II is responsible for the ongoing and minor maintenance repairs for NEMS buildings and grounds (non-permit / licensed repairs), and act as a backup for drivers and janitors.
Essential Job Functions
- Performs all the duties of a Building Maintenance Worker I
- Responsible for performing routine preventative maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently, and the physical condition of the building does not deteriorate
- Performs general repairs of all buildings fixtures i.e. replace water drain, leak issues etc.
- Assists with the renovation / remodeling of buildings; repairs plaster and drywall; paints building structures
- Assist in completing daily, weekly and monthly checklists on building equipment maintenance procedures and maintains records of scheduled maintenance procedures
- Escort and assist vendors when needed
- Performs other job duties as required by manager / supervisor.
Qualifications
Minimum of 1-2 years' experience in building maintenanceKnowledge in maintenance supplies, equipments, materials and methods usedKnowledge of the occupational hazards and corresponding safety precautions necessary for the safe performance in using equipment to complete assigned tasksAbility to understand and follow verbal instructionsCurrent and valid driver's license requiredAbility to work in a group and independentlyBilingual in English and Cantonese preferredThis is an FLSA Non-exempt position.This is an OSHA high-risk position.This is a full-time position.NEMS is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer welcoming diversity in our workforce.
