Mail Presorter - 1st, 2nd & 3rd Shift

Location : Aurora, IL Type : FullTime

Available Shifts & Pay Rates

  • 1st Shift : Tuesday - Saturday, 6 : 00 AM - 12 : 00 PM - $17.50 / hr
  • 2nd Shift : Monday - Friday, 2 : 00 PM - 10 : 00 PM - $18.50 / hr
  • 3rd Shift : Monday - Friday, 10 : 00 PM - 6 : 00 AM - $20.50 / hr

About the Role

We are hiring Mail Presorters to support a highvolume mail processing warehouse in Aurora, IL. This role is ideal for individuals who are detailoriented, reliable, and comfortable working in a fastpaced production environment.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare outgoing permit and metered mail by verifying correct date, postage, and barcode quality
  • Identify and communicate errors or unreadable barcodes on mail or packages
  • Troubleshoot and clear mail jams from sorting machines
  • Monitor mail quality before processing and dispatch
  • Understand USPS zip code labels and match bin numbers to tray numbers
  • Follow QMS (Quality Management System) procedures to ensure accuracy of :

    • Date

  • Weight
  • Thickness
  • Barcodes
  • Presort slug
  • Indicia
  • Postage rate
  • Class of mail
  • Prepare and stack sorted mail according to USPS requirements
  • Ensure sorter equipment is running properly and report issues
  • Assist with inbound and outbound mail processing
  • Stay aware of truck departure times and ensure mail meets SLA deadlines
  • Maintain a clean, safe work area
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

    • Your Background

  • Must be dependable, punctual, and reliable
  • Knowledge of presort mailing is a plus
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and customer service skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs with or without accommodation
  • Ability to walk, stand, stoop, and bend for most of the shift
  • Able to understand and follow safety and operational instructions in English
  • Willing to work overtime, including weekends or holidays, with short notice
  • Must have current experience working as a Warehouse Mail Sorter
