Location :  Richmond, Virginia

Key Responsibilities :

Operational Excellence :

  • Ensure outbound materials are shipped and documented according to SOPs.
  • Identify and report shipping discrepancies; monitor shipping claims through completion.
  • Conduct monthly finished goods inventory counts.
  • Ensure outbound shipments and delivery schedules are met.
  • Rigorously monitor compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Analyze shipping data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Prepare regular reports on shipping performance metrics.
  • Address and resolve customer inquiries related to shipping; provide shipment tracking information and updates.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with shipping vendors and carriers; negotiate shipping rates and contracts to optimize costs and service.

Continuous Improvement & Best Practices :

  • Develop and implement best practices and procedures for material handling, shipping, auditing, and safety.
  • Quantify time savings achieved through process improvements.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities within shipping and logistics processes.
  • Explore automation solutions and technology upgrades within outbound freight and shipping processes.

    • Qualifications :

  • 5 years of experience in a related field; Associate’s degree preferred.
  • Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft 360.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and prioritization skills.
