Community Engagement Specialist

Location: Worcester, MA - Peer Recovery Program

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm with occasional Saturdays

Pay rate: $18.00-$19.00/hour

The Community Engagement Specialist is responsible for

• Educating the public about addiction and the multiple pathways to Recovery, recruiting participants, and networking with community-based organizations in collaboration with peer volunteers.
• Assisting Young Adults on their pathway to Recovery/or help maintain a strong Recovery.

Qualifications:

• One year of experience in a substance abuse program preferred
• Be familiar with local recovery community.
• CARC certification preferred
• Experience providing harm minimization advice and information that reduces the potential negative impact on individuals and communities
• Experience with the provision of support that is structured, focused and time-limited to the point of entry with clients waiting to access appropriate treatment /support services generated from contacts with the street population
• Must have valid driver's license and dependable transportation.
