The Pinch Hotel is making a splash in the Charleston market as a new and unique luxury hotel located in the heart of the downtown historic district. As part of a growing collection of properties within the Method Co. umbrella, The Pinch provides personalized service and thoughtfully designed accommodations that meet the needs of residents and guests alike. The Pinch is a fully furnished 25-room hotel designed to offer all of the comforts of a home away from home, including fully furnished units with full kitchens. We offer 24-hour concierge services, housekeeping services, and personalized amenities.

Position Summary:

• We are seeking a reliable and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our hotel team. This position is responsible for performing a variety of routine maintenance tasks to ensure the hotel’s facilities are safe, functional, and well-maintained. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in basic repairs, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform general maintenance and repair duties in areas such as plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and landscaping.

• Respond promptly to guest and staff maintenance requests.

• Conduct regular inspections of hotel facilities, equipment, and systems.

• Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical or electrical issues, and complete repairs in a timely manner.

• Ensure all maintenance work is performed safely and in accordance with hotel standards and local regulations.

• Maintain a clean and organized work area and maintenance shop.

• Assist in maintaining inventory of tools, parts, and supplies.

• Communicate effectively with the front desk and other departments regarding work order status.

• Follow all safety procedures and report hazards or unsafe conditions to management.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• 1+ years of maintenance or handyman experience (hotel experience preferred).

• Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems.

• Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and perform manual labor.

Schedule & Pay:

• Hourly Pay: $21.00-$25.00 per hour, depending on experience

• Shifts: Varying shifts; must have availability for weekends and some holidays.
