Contract Registered Nurse - Home Health Field

Job Description

Registered Nurse Home Health Field RN providing Home Visits for Home Health Care.

Work Schedule: 5 days a week, 8-hour shifts (Monday to Friday).

Responsibilities Include:

• Utilizing the nursing process efficiently in patient care delivery.
• Assessing patient and family learning needs and implementing appropriate teaching strategies.
• Leading and collaborating with the nursing team and interdisciplinary teams.
• Using data and knowledge to evaluate and promote changes for optimal patient outcomes.
• Enhancing customer satisfaction, employee morale, and professionalism in nursing.
• Adapting care to meet the diverse needs of different patient populations, including respect for privacy and effective communication.
• Performing additional duties as required.

Physical and Environmental Demands:

This role requires physical capabilities including:

• Heavy Work: Lifting and moving objects weighing from 10 to 100 pounds.
• Regular exposure to potentially hazardous materials, including blood and body fluids, while maintaining safety and compliance standards.

Requirements:

• Must hold a valid Registered Nurse license in the respective state or a Compact License.
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience; 2 years preferred.
• Open to local or travel candidates.
• Education: Required - Registered Nurse degree; Preferred - Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
• Valid Driver's License and Auto Insurance are required.
• Experience with HCHB EMR is ideal.

Certifications:

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.

• Proficiency in using computers and web-based applications.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational abilities.
• Ability to manage time effectively and work independently.
• Excellent judgment in clinical decision-making.
