The Electrician Apprentice assists in the installation maintenance and repair of electrical systems and equipment under the supervision of a licensed electrician. This role involves working with various electrical tools and materials interpreting blueprints and ensuring all work complies with relevant codes and safety standards. The apprentice will gain hands-on experience in troubleshooting and problem-solving within industrial settings contributing to the efficient operation of electrical systems.

Duties / Responsibilities :

  • Assist in the installation maintenance and repair of electrical systems and equipment
  • Measure cutting bending threading assembling and installation of conduit raceways
  • Assist in maintaining tools and games boxes in neat orderly fashion
  • Manage material inventory and storage
  • Utilize various electrical tools and materials
  • Interpret and follow blueprints
  • Ensure all work complies with relevant codes and safety standards
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Skills / Abilities :

  • Basic knowledge of electrical systems and wiring techniques
  • Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and blueprints
  • Proficiency in using hand and power tools commonly used in electrical work
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to learn and follow safety protocols
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Ability to work in various environmental conditions

    • Education / Experience :

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Basic knowledge of electrical systems wiring and circuitry
  • Familiarity with tools and equipment used in the electrical trade
  • Basic math skills (multiplication addition subtraction and division) and ability to read a tape measure
  • OSHA 10-hour certification preferred

    • Travel Requirements :

  • Anticipated 100% travel to project sites nationwide
  • Ability to travel occasionally to attend meetings trainings and events.

    • Physical Requirements :

  • Ability to wear and utilize all required personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
  • Bend kneel and crouch for extended periods
  • Ability to perform repetitive movements
  • Ability to move in and around confined and cluttered places and uneven areas
  • Ability to lift carry and move objects weighing up to and exceeding 50 pounds
  • Adequate vision to perform all required tasks
  • Work on ladders scaffolding and rooftops
  • Comfortable with heights and able to climb and descend safely
  • Strong sense of balance and spatial awareness
  • Participate in respiratory fit testing and use as required
