Apprentice HVAC Service Technician

Description

Position Purpose   As an Apprentice Service Technician, you will specialize in performing basic scheduled maintenance on customer systems.  You will also help to perform startup, service, maintenance and repair of commercial HVAC equipment and HVAC systems according to LONG service procedures. The essential functions of this position include but are not limited to :

• Specialize in performing scheduled maintenance tasks on commercial HVAC such as coil cleaning, air filter replacement, and basic inspections on customer equipment.
• Assist senior technicians perform startup, service, troubleshooting, and repair of HVAC equipment and HVAC systems according to LONG’s service procedures under the supervision of an experienced Service Technician
• Regularly attend and complete any assigned training courses while making steady progress towards Service Technician I.
• Deliver outstanding customer service by greeting customers upon arrival at job sites, confirming satisfaction before departing, and consistently representing the company with professionalism.
• Promptly and accurately complete all required paperwork while on the job.
• Use a variety of hand tools and power tools at a basic level to troubleshoot, repair and install HVAC equipment.
• Maintain positive working relationships with customers, technicians, dispatch, sales, and management.
• Commit to adhering to safety regulations and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for oneself and others while performing HVAC tasks.
• Other duties as assigned.
