The Opportunity

TECKperts client a government agency in Tallahassee FL is seeking an experienced Senior Database Administrator to support enterprise database platforms and mission-critical systems. This role supports database planning design optimization performance tuning and operational support across multiple database technologies including mainframe and distributed environments.

Primary job duties include but are not limited to:

• Perform daily database administration and operational support
• Design implement and maintain database schemas and structures
• Monitor and tune database performance across platforms
• Support DB2 for z/OS Oracle SQL Server and GIS databases
• Develop and maintain database documentation and procedures
• Perform SQL code reviews and optimization
• Support disaster recovery planning and execution
• Assist with database upgrades maintenance and recovery activities
• Collaborate with application infrastructure and security teams
• Mentor and assist other technical staff as needed

Compensation and Term

This opportunity is for a full-timecontract position with possibleextensions and pay commensurate with experience up to$145000per year. Medical dental vision and life insurance available after 30 days of hire.

Qualifications you need

A successfulcandidatehas the following experience:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a closely related field.
• 15 years combined experience in database administration
• Advanced experience with DB2 for z/OS
• Experience with Oracle (10g and above) and SQL Server (2008R2 2012)
• Strong knowledge of z/OS platform and mainframe environments
• Experience with database performance monitoring and tuning
• Knowledge of disaster recovery and backup strategies
• Experience working in enterprise multi-platform environments
• Experience with financial or enterprise government systems
• Knowledge of Azure and Windows Server environments
