The Sociology Department seeks to advance sociological knowledge and the public’s understanding of society through research and teaching at the highest levels of the discipline. Position Summary :
The Relocation Assistant supports departmental renovation and relocation projects, records management, inventory / surplus processing, and general office tasks. The role requires independent judgment, problem-solving, and minimal supervision.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements :
High school diploma or equivalency; or demonstrated possession of the competencies necessary to perform the work.
Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience :
Previous customer service and inventory experience.
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience :
Excellent communication skills including written, verbal, and email; Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications like Outlook, Word, and Excel; Readily demonstrate the use of independent judgment and decision-making ability.

Ability to move up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
