Tax ManagerPosition Overview The Tax Manager will oversee and manage the tax compliance and planning process for the organization, ensuring adherence to tax laws and regulations while minimizing tax liabilities. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills to provide guidance on tax-related issues.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the preparation and filing of federal, state, and local tax returns.
- Develop and implement tax strategies to minimize overall tax liabilities.
- Conduct tax research and stay updated on changes in tax legislation.
- Coordinate and oversee tax audits, ensuring compliance with all regulations.
- Collaborate with internal departments to provide tax-related guidance and support.
- Review and approve tax provisions and compliance filings prepared by junior staff.
- Train and mentor staff on tax-related matters and best practices.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- CPA certification is required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax management or related field in public accounting.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state tax regulations.
- Experience with tax planning and compliance for corporations and partnerships.
