Commercial Real Estate Loan Underwriter

We are seeking a Commercial Real Estate Loan Underwriter to join our team in Monterey Park. In this role, you will be responsible for evaluating credit risk and preparing comprehensive credit reports. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a solid accounting background, and the ability to organize and prioritize tasks efficiently and effectively.

• Perform underwriting due diligence, including analyzing loan packages, studying and analyzing professional third-party reports such as appraisal and environmental reports, and conducting site inspections
• Prepare credit write-ups
• Prepare loan extension or other amendment write-ups
• Review the title reports
• Other duties assigned

• Demonstrates great decision-making and communication skills
• Understanding of home loans and residential mortgages such as FHA, VA, conventional, and USDA, and loan products
• At least 2 years of mortgage underwriting experience or mortgage lending experience required
• Proficient in Microsoft office and automated underwriting systems
• B.S. in business or related field required
• Bachelor's degree in business or related field
• Experienced in commercial loan underwriting
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Demonstrates good communication and writing skills
