As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and responding as needed. This driving and armed post involves conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence, and providing outstanding customer service and communication.   • What You'll Do :
  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and / or suspicious behavior.
  • Monitor and report any security-related issues or hazards observed during patrols, documenting incidents as required by site protocols.
  • Communicate and collaborate with local law enforcement and / or emergency services as needed, following established protocols for government locations.
  • Control access to restricted areas, verifying credentials and helping to maintain order within the premises.
  • Remain alert and prepared to respond to changing situations, adapting to the unique environment of a government correctional facility.
  • Minimum Requirements :
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Two or more years of law enforcement, military, or corrections experience are required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
