We are looking for an experienced Payroll Specialist to join our team in Fresno, California. In this role, you will handle certified payroll processes for union construction projects, ensuring compliance with prevailing wage laws and union agreements. This contract-to-permanent position offers an opportunity to contribute to both payroll management and general bookkeeping functions.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare and submit certified payroll reports for public works projects in compliance with regulations and state prevailing wage laws.
• Accurately input job classifications, fringe benefits, and deductions in accordance with union agreements.
• Utilize LCPtracker software to manage and submit certified payroll records effectively.
• Ensure subcontractor compliance by verifying wage reporting accuracy and monitoring adherence to regulations.
• Respond to inquiries from auditors, agencies, and project stakeholders regarding payroll documentation.
• Stay updated on wage determinations, union agreements, and prevailing wage requirements.
• Assist with accounts payable and receivable tasks to support bookkeeping functions.
• Reconcile financial accounts, including bank statements and vendor records, ensuring accuracy.
• Support payroll processing for union and non-union employees as required.
• Prepare financial reports and organize documentation for audits and reporting purposes.
