Staff (Snowflake DBA)

Job Description

OMF is looking for an individual contributor staff engineer. In this role, you will be a key team member on an enterprise platform which plays a critical role in the company. Successful staff engineer will be inquisitive, innovative, collaborative, influential, and hands on to ensure seamless platform operations and continued evolution of the services over time.

Key Responsibilities

Snowflake Platform Administration & Cost Intelligence

• Own RBAC and security posture across AWS Snowflake accounts; ensure policy‑driven access aligned to least privilege
• Govern schema, warehouse, and database configurations for sustained performance and reliability
• Set and enforce Time Travel retention and replication / failover policies across environments
• Establish cost intelligence : implement auto‑suspend / scale rules, credit‑usage dashboards, and anomaly alerts; drive ongoing cost / perf optimization
• Orchestrate enterprise DR drills for PROD / DR; ensure controlled failover and rapid, verifiable recovery
