Medical Technologist

The Medical Technologist is responsible for performing and analyzing the results of the complex scientific tests.

Essential Functions

1. Analyzer Maintenance
2. Preparing and running calibrations and QCs on analyzers
3. Monitoring quality control measures and protocols
4. Running patient samples (serum, whole blood, urine)
5. Reviewing and reporting of results
6. Maintaining laboratory logs

Qualifications, Knowledge and Competencies

Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Certification by ASCP, AMT, or AAB, Medical Technologist License (or Medical Laboratory Technician) in State of Florida and laboratory experience.

Knowledge: Beckman AU700, Beckman DxH560, Beckman Access 2

Competencies: Technical Capacity, Decision Making, Problem Solving/Analysis, Results Driven, Pipetting

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a part-time position with potential to turn into full-time as we grow. Days of work are: Saturday from 9:00 am-5:30pm and one day during the week (Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday)
