Tyler Houk (Practice Director) with Robert Half is looking for an experienced Controller to join our manufacturing team in Fresno, California. This role is vital in managing financial operations, reporting, and compliance to ensure the company's fiscal health and strategic growth. The Controller will work closely with senior leadership to drive financial planning and oversee a small accounting team.

Responsibilities :

• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, including general ledger reconciliation, cash flow forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Develop and oversee annual budgets, ensuring cost controls and profitability reporting align with production cycles and inventory management.
• Lead audits and ensure compliance with regulatory standards while implementing effective internal controls.
• Supervise and mentor the accounting team, overseeing accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and cost accounting functions.
• Utilize Microsoft Dynamics to streamline financial operations and support manufacturing processes.
• Analyze manufacturing metrics such as bill of materials costing, overhead allocation, and supply chain variances.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to provide strategic financial insights and recommendations.
• Monitor and refine financial models using Excel to enhance forecasting and decision-making.
• Support operational efficiency by aligning financial strategies with production growth.
• Ensure accurate reporting and compliance within agriculture and construction-focused manufacturing environments.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; certification such as CPA preferred.
• At least 7 years of experience in manufacturing finance, including 3 years in a leadership or controller role.
• Expertise in Microsoft Dynamics for financial operations and inventory management.
• Strong proficiency in Excel for complex financial modeling and analysis.
• In-depth knowledge of cost accounting principles and manufacturing metrics.
• Experience in managing audits and ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Proven ability to lead and develop accounting teams in a dynamic environment.
• Familiarity with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes.
