Maintenance Helper

SUMMARY:

Without the strength of our Maintenance team, we would not be able to offer the industry-leading service we’re known for. We’re seeking an experienced helper to work in the maintenance department. The ideal candidate will have proven industry experience as a helper.

Follow the Organization’s procedures and policies in support of the Quality Policy and Customer satisfaction. Assist in the preventive maintenance (PM) program and administer repairs as necessary. Assist in keeping the equipment and facility in good operating manner in support of first-time quality and on time delivery. Perform general clean-ups in support of a clean and safe work environment. The maintenance helper must be able to explain the respective role within the QMS and how their role contributes to quality. The maintenance helper shall also be aware of ethical behavior and conduct themselves accordingly to Karman policies and procedures.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintain and Realize AS 9100 procedures and continuous improvement efforts
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

• Assist in the Preventive Maintenance program (PM).
• Assist in maintaining the facility in good operating manner.
• Assist in maintaining the manufacturing equipment in good operating manner.
• Assist in maintaining the tools in good operating manner.
• Must understand how customer products are impacted in the event of failure.
• Any other duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be detail oriented, extremely organized, possess good communication skills and be able to interact with Management and staff.
• Must be able to work with standard maintenance tool.
• Must be able to lift 25 lbs.
• Must have direct communication with internal customers.
• Must be trained of applicable changes & customer requirements.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

• High school graduate or equivalent in work experience.
• Entry-level position

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Constant standing/walking/sitting for at least 8 hours.

• Occasional pushing, pulling, lifting, or carrying up to 50 lbs, minimum 35 lbs.
• Sufficient hand, arm, and finger dexterity to operate a computer keyboard and other office equipment.
• Clarity of vision at approximately 20 inches or less. Corrective lenses may be worn to fulfill requirement.
• Prolonged periods of repetitive movement are required.
• Constant holding, grasping, turning, or otherwise working with the hand(s).
• Occasional extending of arms to reach overhead, at shoulder level and below shoulder level.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• This position operates in a warehouse/shop/manufacturing environment.
