The Opportunity

Lesley University’s Department of Natural Sciences and Math is seeking a qualified adjunct faculty member to teach : CBIOL 2101 Biology II with Lab, Spring Semester 2026, Fully in-person, on-campus, Tuesdays / Thursdays 9 : 35am-12 : 05pm

Course Description :

In this course, students will build upon the material covered in Biology I by examining the underlying processes and emergent properties of living systems and applying that understanding through laboratory and field work. Topics include the molecular basis of biological reactions; cell biology; plant and animal systems; metabolism; reproduction; genetics; evolution; and populations and ecosystems.

Qualities and Capabilities

A successful candidate will have :

Master's degree in Biology (required); PhD (preferred)

Successful experience teaching undergraduate biology courses

Experience in constructivist, inquiry-based learning

Excellent verbal and written communication skills
