Job Description
The role involves developing and maintaining a national roster of qualified contractors, including licensing, insurance, and safety certifications. It also includes defining project scopes, statements of work, and schedules for commissioning and engineering tasks; coordinating cross-functional resources. The Field Service Manager will oversee contractor performance on-site, conduct kick-off meetings, safety briefs, and spot-check inspections. They will manage project budgets, track labor and material costs, and provide weekly financial updates to senior leadership. Ensuring compliance with industry standards and internal quality procedures is also part of the role. Documentation-installation reports, test results, and as-built drawings must be captured and uploaded into the central system upon completion. The Field Service Manager will track key performance metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives. They will serve as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and internal teams, providing timely status updates and issue escalation. Leading post-project debriefs, documenting lessons learned, and updating processes and contractor qualification criteria accordingly is also required.

The Successful Applicant
A successful Field Service Manager should have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, Construction Management, or related field. They should have a minimum of 5 years of field service or project management experience, preferably in doors / hardware, security, or healthcare sectors. Proven track record managing a dispersed contractor network across multiple states is required. Strong knowledge of OSHA, NFPA, and healthcare regulatory requirements is necessary. Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills are essential. The ability to travel and work flexible hours to align with client site schedules is also required.
