We are looking for an experienced Substation P&C Designer that is wanting to work part time on an as-needed basis. If you are retired or ready take a break from full-time opportunities this is the position for you! This role will report to the P&C Engineering Supervisor and will perform design tasks under the supervision of higher level Engineers Designers or the Engineering Manager. The successful candidate will apply basic design principles to produce design deliverables and assists in equipment or material selection or specification based on job requirements.

Responsibilities include:

• Develop and/or assist in the development or check of AC Schematics DC Schematics Panel Layouts Wiring/Connection diagrams and Bills of Materials.
• P&C design for substations ranging from 12kV to 500kV.
• Work in a project team environment with engineers and other designers involved in high and extra-high voltage substations.
• Interpret and incorporate vendor information into design deliverables.
• Properly apply clients substation design standards to the work.
• Self check own work before submitting to quality review team.
• Work on multiple projects concurrently.
