Chief of Dermatology

Bay Pines VA Healthcare System is pleased to announce the opportunity for a dynamic physician leader to serve as Chief of Dermatology.

The Chief of Dermatology will provide clinical leadership and direction for dermatology services across Bay Pines VA, ensuring high-quality, Veteran-centered care. This role includes oversight of clinical operations, supervision and mentoring of staff, coordination of specialty services, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to advance access, quality, research, and education.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise dermatology team members
• Provide comprehensive dermatologic care (outpatient procedures, consults, and coordination of specialty services)
• Develop and implement clinical policies and quality-improvement initiatives
• Support education, training, and program development
• Promote Veteran safety, access, and exceptional patient experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Board certification in Dermatology
• Demonstrated leadership and supervisory experience
• Commitment to teaching, teamwork, and continuous improvement
• Experience in VA or academic medicine is a plus
