Job Title : Quality Process Controller - 2nd Shift Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Quality Process Controller to join our team on the 2nd shift. In this role, you will be responsible for recording critical 'in process' parameters within a forge environment, ensuring the accuracy and compliance of production processes.

Responsibilities

• Record optical pyrometer readings for tooling and material temperatures, both on and off die.
• Monitor furnace soak times, forging times, and ramp-up times.
• Extract rolling parameters and tonnage data from specific ring-roll mills and presses.
• Report any 'in process' non-conformances to the Quality Department and other relevant parties.
• Maintain and archive documentation according to company procedures.
• Interpret blueprints and measure parts in accordance with them.
• Interface with other departments to ensure smooth operations.
• Maintain a safe and organized workstation, adhering to all company policies and procedures.
• Perform furnace pyrometry activities, including SATs and furnace inspections.
• Support the calibration of furnaces, tools, and optical pyrometers.
• Conduct Quality Forge and Forge Furnace Audits.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Work Environment

The position is based in a production environment that is very hot and can be dirty, with work occurring both inside and outside. Initial training is provided on the 1st shift, starting at 5 am, before transitioning to the 2nd shift from 1 pm to 9 : 30 pm.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rancho Cucamonga, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.75 - $21.75 / hr.
