Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead Engineer, Custom Applications and Integration, to lead the design, development, integration, and ongoing support of custom-built applications while ensuring seamless connectivity with enterprise systems. This role is critical to advancing digital transformation initiatives by delivering scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions aligned with business needs.

The ideal candidate brings a strong technical foundation, proven leadership experience, and the ability to navigate complex system integrations while collaborating across technical and business teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of custom application developers and integration specialists, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment
• Assign tasks, set priorities, and monitor team performance to ensure timely, high-quality delivery
• Support recruitment and onboarding of new team members
• Oversee the full lifecycle of custom application development, including design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance
• Partner with business analysts and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Architect scalable, secure, and maintainable applications using appropriate technologies and frameworks
• Ensure adherence to coding standards, best practices, and architectural guidelines
• Manage code repositories, version control, and deployment processes
• Develop and execute integration strategies connecting custom applications with enterprise systems such as ERP, CRM, data warehouses, and third-party APIs
• Design and implement integration solutions using API platforms, ETL tools, messaging queues, and ESBs
• Ensure data integrity, security, and performance across integrated systems
• Monitor and troubleshoot application and integration issues, driving timely resolution
• Provide technical leadership and guidance on development and integration tools, technologies, and methodologies
• Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends, recommending innovative solutions where applicable
• Participate in architectural reviews and contribute to technology decision-making
• Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including business units, infrastructure, and security teams
• Provide regular project status updates and manage stakeholder expectations
• Participate in project planning, estimation, and delivery timelines
• Establish and maintain technical documentation for applications, integrations, and APIs
• Define and enforce development and integration standards and best practices
